Favourite Scene: (I love how simple but poignant the line "marry me and let's have kids" is)
He leaned forward and placed light kisses on her nose, the corner of her mouth, her lips....
"You know," she joked, "this is inappropriate... if I'm giving a presentation to become your business partner."
"But not," he responded in a low voice, "if you're interviewing for the position of wife."
Her heart flipped over. "What did you say'?"
Instead of responding, he kissed her, long and deep.
When he finally pulled away, he said. "Marry me and let's have kids."
My Review:
This was a pretty good story. Her mom was his dad's mistress, while his mother was dying of cancer. He's pretty bitter about the heroine's mom and thinks that the apple won't fall far from the tree. They meet and are attracted as adults, but fight with each other a little. They expect the other to be worse, but find themselves liking and respecting each other. They have sex. Her mother throws in a little interference. During this time the hero is getting revenge on his dad and busy with that. They suit each other well.
My Rating: 3/5 stars, pretty good story.
