Back Cover:
All that stands in the way of Dante Carrazzo and revenge is Mackenzi Keogh. Mackenzi will do anything to save her hotel—something Dante uses to his advantage: he'll reconsider if she becomes his mistress! Mackenzi knows she shouldn't trust Dante, but the pleasure he gives is too intense to resist. However, their bargain is compromised when Dante learns she is pregnant….
Spoiler Warning: All my reviews contain spoilers to some degree
Favourite Scene:
‘So what was the point of hanging around?’ Mackenzi said, angling up her chin. ‘It was all over in a minute, after which you promptly rolled over and went to sleep. Hardly worth hanging around for.’
The cockiness slid from his face, her insult finding its mark. ‘All over in a minute? Seems to me I remember you enjoying every second of that minute.’
She shrugged. ‘It was okay, I guess.’
Another Fav Scene:
‘Then maybe I should wait until you’re asleep,’ he suggested. ‘You’d be a damned sight less argumentative, for a start.’
‘And maybe you should just stop playing this game and get it over with!’
He'd flung the glass aside and crossed the room in a heartbeat, ignoring the smash of glass as he slammed her against the wall, punching the air from her lungs before she’d even realized what was happening, before she could react. And then his mouth was on her, hot and furious, his hands wild and tearing at her clothes.
My Review:
The heroine runs a hotel which the hero has bought out (he plans to tear it to the ground and get revenge on the family that owned it... and rejected him, their adopted son). The heroine wants to save the hotel, and the hero says if she agrees to be his mistress he'll "think about it" but he didn't intend to change his mind, which makes him a bit of a jerk at first. Wow! The opening scene is intense: the hero walks into his hotel room to find the heroine in his bed and mistakes her for the "welcome package" (which really is a gift basket of cheeses on the coffee table), and he decides to take her up on the supposedly intended offer, joining her in bed and waking her with touches. True it's kind of pervy, but he's yummy and it's hopefully not too bad of a shock for the heroine when she wakes. Who would turn down orgasms from that yummy man? The heroine has a choice but doesn't.
About the ending: I thought the whole point of the heroine wanting to save the hotel was to save jobs, so I don't see how making it into a foster home (worthy meaningful cause as it is) satisfies the heroine's concern for the employees. I did love the rest of the ending though, it was cute that they had the kiss before the ceremony. About the cover: the hero looks yummy, with delightfully ruffable hair. I swear the best covers are when the hero is shirtless with his pants riding low on his hips!
My Rating: 4/5 stars, enjoyable story!

Sounds good
This one is currently winging its way to me! Now I can't wait for it. Great review. Thanks
