THE ITALIAN'S RAGS-TO-RICHES LIFE

Well, I must say this book was different for sure!

I can say that I did enjoy the ending of it.

It was sort of the new Cinderella Story. Everyone is different in what they like to read. I think the author did a good job of presenting wonderful detailed encounters of the lovemaking scenes. She showed it graphically & the way we women do think about sensual encounters - from our point of view. But, she did share the Hero's side of this story, too.

The characters were Laura - the heroine, & Allesandro - the hero.

He was the rich playboy & she was indeed the "ugly duckling". I was slightly confused about the point for some reason? I mean, I get the Cinderella story part, but I was not sure of he ended up loving her as she was when she was "ugly" as the author called her, or if he loved her because she ended up so beautiful?

Some of the intimate scenes were explained in detail but especially one of them sort of left it to the readers imagination what they actually ended up doing with one another - but, that may have made the book more fun leaving it to the readers imagination.

I did not like the way it made it seem like Laura was terribly ugly until her lover found out she was not "fat" as it was stated. I do not appreciate books misleading people into believing anyone who does not have a perfect body is ugly.

But, I do like the book & I did read it so it captured my attention. I think this author is very talented. She developed the story very well & she did give beautiful deep details about the passionate love they shared.

I will be interested in reading another book by Julia James for fun. I would like to see how different her books may be from each other.

It is worth the read & I giess the fairy tale element is great fun for many readers.

Reading is a natural & wonderful escape from everyday life!
