Back Cover:
Allesandro di Vincenzo is a perfect male specimen. There's no woman he can't have—until Laura Stowe crosses his path.
Laura is plain, poor and hides behind her homely appearance to avoid getting close to people.
But Allesandro needs her family connections to open the door to ultimate corporate power. So he must woo the ugly duckling into his bed—where she will learn what it is to be a beautiful, desired swan.
My Reivew:
I'm not usually a fan of ugly duckling stories, because I like to see the hero attracted to the heroine at first sight, I don't like her having to get a makeover before he thinks she's beautiful. This book could get on your nerves if you dislike hearing the hero talk about how the heroine lacks or hides her looks. The chemistry was great in this book though! The chemistry is overwhelming between the hero/heroine, sex is like a compulsion for them and that is special. I liked that the hero found himself seducing his business partner's virgin granddaughter, despite knowing how wrong it was of him, simply because he could think of nothing else around her. It wasn't optional for him, restraint was out the window.
Rating: 3.5/5 stars, I somewhat disliked the premise of the book, but the chemistry was smoking.

I agree with you
Janet,
Once again I find myself agreeing with your assessment.
The whole caterpillar brow thing bothered me, especially when he found her again, but when they were together they were smokin.

Yeah.... when I read the
Yeah.... when I read the ending of him noticing her overgrown eyebrows and kissing her anyway... I was thinking "lame! are we supposed to give the hero a medal for lowering himself to kiss a woman who has overgrown brows? Isn't love supposed to be blind? And not care about eyebrows?"
