Jackson’s Women by Maggie Price (SRS 1464) 05/07

This is a series about three women who become close friends. This is Claire’s story. Federal agent, Jackson Castle, is after a deadly killer who has a personal vendetta against him. Jackson has already lost his twin to this killer and he will not let the only women he has ever loved become the next target. In order to protect her, he must return to the U.S. and become her personal bodyguard even if that is the last thing she wants.

Claire hasn’t seen Jackson in two years. Their relationship ended because their jobs/lifestyles were so different. After too many lonely nights waiting for Jackson to return from an assignment, Claire made the difficult decision to leave Jackson because she knew his job would always take priority over them. It is two years later and she has built a nice business, developed special friendships and planted roots. This was something that she could not when she was with Jackson. But she has never been able to get over him and now that he is back, she knows she has to fight the attraction because she knows Jackson will never give up his job for her.

The suspense is good and I liked the friendship between the three ladies. I’ve always enjoyed Maggie Prices books. This was not a favorite but it was very good. I have book two and am looking forward to reading it.

From the back:

He’d always been a hunter. But now federal agent Jackson Castle was both savior and prey, tracking a deadly killer who had targeted the women he’d loved and lost. But first he had to convince her to open her heart to him all over again.

Claire Munroe had put her stormy affair with Jackson behind her two years ago. Now he’d returned, bringing danger to her door, rocking her secure life. Ill-prepared to confront the man who’d stolen her heart, Claire had to decide which posted a greater threat – their reignited passion, or the murderer who hunted them both.

Book 3 is about the shop

Book 3 is about the shop owner next door and I have to admit I am really looking forward to that one -the heroine just pulls at me.

I do have book two. And I'm checking for book three. Unless it has already come out and I missed it???

Margie :)

No, I think it comes out

No, I think it comes out this fall sometime.  Can't remember where I read that, maybe at the end of book 2!?!  Sad thing when the memory goes.  Wink
