This book is a great spring read. It contains all the elements of a great summer story. The Cowboy who is fighting to get life back on track, he did what any child would do for a mother, and has lived with the aftermath of his decision. His Mother also lives with the aftermath of his decision. It was almost literally tearing their lives apart. When a chance meeting between all the parties and an jealous new boyfriend constantly runs the tension and feeling of the book on high octane. You get the whole story from all sides, and see how one good deed can have ramifications beyond what the spur of the moment thought can not foresee. The author of this story really thought out the plot and how to get the story to weave through out all of the angles and the resulting effects of said decisions. The struggles of the main two characters to try to get each other to acknowledge the others faults, and still see that they do love each other dispite what the other feels. The author with the help of all the characters gets the whole cast of characters to keep pushing these two togethers and to ultimately see that life is not just terrible memories of past, but of good friends, and the love of others can may life worth living.
I gave this book 5 out of 5 stars.
Pick it up and enjoy the smell of horses and love.
