Kidnapped by the Cowboy by Pam Crooks (Harlequin Historical, 2008)

Kidnapped by the Cowboy by Pam CrooksCopied Blurb:

Taken! Callie Mae Lockett had once trusted TJ Grier, cared for him even, but then her brother was killed and TJ took the blame. Now he wants a chance to clear his name, even if that means kidnapping Callie Mae.... Redeemed? Alone in the wilderness with TJ, Callie Mae should feel afraid. Instead, she is attracted to this rugged cowboy and begins to believe in his innocence. But the truth will be dangerous for both of them and, with time running out, can TJ clear his name and claim his woman?

My Review:

I really enjoyed the first half of this this book.  TJ's history gave him a bit of the bad-boy image I love.Smile  Callie Mae, now her I did not really care for.  She was too much of a goody two-shoes IMHO. Nothing wrong with wanting to do things the way you think are right, but scorning others for not doing it your way really got on my nerves.  I guess Callie Mae never had me cheering her on.  But TJ, he sure did!

My Rating: 3.5

Hey Merri!

Nice to see you!  This is actually my first book by Pam Crooks.  I would like to read more.  I was thinking about picking up the book that came before this one, which is the h's mothers story.  Sounds quite interesting!!

Take Care,

Tammy
