Phillips has always been wonderful sub-plotter. In this one we have Kenny trying to make amends with his father and Kenny's sister, Torie, being blackmailed BY their father into marrying a man he finds appropriate for her. Torie is unwilling to fall for the geeky guy, and the geeky guy gets fed up pretty fast with her snobbery.
All in all, a very satisfying, very hilarious read.
