Lover Awakened by J.R. Ward (Book 3)

*SPOILERS: If you haven't read the book, don't read my review*

Favourite Scene:

He knew he was being overbearing as hell, but he couldn't help it. He was a bonded male. With his pregnant female. There were few things on the planet more aggressive or dangerous. And those bastards were called hurricanes and tornadoes.

My Review:

I love how Z reacted to Bella's capture, how he couldn't give up on her, how he felt drawn to her house.  I loved how he intended to buy her home and have a shrine to her.  He'd only met her twice and he felt this intensely about her?  Nice.  Holy hell, how funny was it for Bella to go into her "needing" with a house of six men around to get all horny?  I grinned like a madwoman when V, P, and Butch woke up in the same bed.  Wow, I loved what Phury did to prevent Zsadist from doing a suicide/homicide, that took a lot of strength and smarts to commit to it.  I am so angry with the lesser for taking Wellsie, that was so wrong, poor Tohr, he had 200 years with her and they were such happy mates.  I have heard people wondering about Tohr's story and I don't know how he could ever find a love other than Wellsie.  I also wanted to smash in the lesser for his stupidity: did the lesser know he was killing the mate of a brother?  Because that signed his death warrant.  About the ending: sweet and we needed that after Wellsie, and I love a hero who can cry.  Omg, I got a huge shock when the Reverend and Rehvenge thing was revealed.

My Rating: 4/5 stars, intense and I loved the dynamic between the brothers here.

Hi Janet

I loved the dinner table scene. It was so funny. I really enjoyed this one so much.

I'm not sure what you think but maybe a Spoiler alert can go up in your heading since some major stuff happens in this one that you are talking about. ?

Anyway, I was sad with this one and knew that if that could happen, then anything can happen in these books. I usually stay away from books that are going to make me sad like that. With these, I have stayed with them and I'm glad as they are really so addictive. I want to know what is going to happen with the rest of the guys.

Margie :)

Mkay, I added a spoiler

Mkay, I added a spoiler warning on this one.

Yeah...  my general review style is to mention the things I loved and hated the most.  So anyone can expect my reviews to spoil.  But in this case where a spoiler is pretty big and could spoil a big twist for ya, yeah its a good courtesy to put up the warning.

Janet

You know you are right. I read your reviews all the time and if people are familiar, then hey, they know what to expect.

Margie :)

Yeah, but the BDB fans

Yeah, but the BDB fans aren't used to me, and my style of reviewing (it's kind of a stream of consciousness style).  So yeah...  gotta give them an intro course on reviews by Janet....  *grin*  And give the spoiler warning for them.

I think i better go back and put a warning on Book Five...  I mention a pretty major "Speculation/Theory" I had there....
