#36- Just imagine what effect a lady named Echo who drives a hot pink VW bug will have on the town of Indian Rock. Plus she is going to open a bookstore there.
Echo Wells leaves the truck-stop restaurant in the rain to find a soaked,matted white female Lab she first calls Muttzo. Of course she takes her with her to the hotel where she gives her a shower bath plus the new name of Avalon. The next day Avalon and Echo make quite the impression on Rance McKettrick by almost running over his toes when she pulls into a parking space.
Rance's mother-in-law,Cora Tellington and his two daughters,Rianna and Maeve meet Echo and Avalon,who Cora informs her is pregnant. They invite her to the birthday party for Rianna where she meets the family.
Unknown to anyone,Echo has an online love spell items sales sight. This ends up causing quite a stir in the town also,but they seem to definitely work.
Rance is going through change in his life from being a workaholic for McKettrick Co. to rancher and fulltime dad to his daughters,so the last thing he is wanting is someone to love,but Echo manages to fix that situation also.
I really enjoyed meeting another McKettrick man and his family,plus Echo,she added so much to the story. If you are an animal lover you will also like this one even though it does have a sad part,but then of course it has a happy ending.

I loved that VW bug! I liked Echo. I like how Linda Lael Miller writes animals, even when it can be sad.

I could just imagine
seeing that hot pink VW. Brought back alot of memories as I owned quite a few but weren't as bright as Echo's. Yes,she was quite the character,but her love for animals was special. That was sad for me too,don't know if I would have handled the situation as well as she did.
