5 Hearts – Action, adventure, romance and NASCAR Guy all mixed into one.

Metro Girl by Janet Evanovich ~ Harper Torch Fiction ~ 2004

RATINGS:
EXCELLENCE: Excellent
STEAMINESS FACTOR: Romantic to Sensual – Hard to rate since the romance or attraction is very secondary.

Mini Series or Themed Collection: An Alexandra Barnaby Adventure – Book 1

DESCRIPTION & CRITIQUE: When Alexandra Barnaby’s younger brother, Wild Bill, calls her in the middle of the night with a frightening phone call, she hurries to Miami to make sure her little brother’s OK. What big sister wouldn’t? Only Wild Bill has disappeared. And apparently he’s disappeared with NASCAR driver Sam Hooker’s boat. Now she not only has to find her brother, she has Sam Hooker tagging along. Will they find Wild Bill?

The UP Side:
-Alexandra ‘Barney’ Barnaby is a great leading lady. She brave, loyal and adventurous. She also knows more about engines than most men do. Sam Hooker is the kind of leading man we all love. He would risk anything for Alexandra. He stayed by her side all the way stepping in front of her when danger was on the horizon. It wasn’t his brother who was in trouble. It’s impossible not to love NASCAR guy!
-There was action every step of the way. There was never a dull moment.
-There were many smile moments in this book.
-The conversations between the characters were great. Everything is down to earth and we can relate to the characters.
-This story is full of great secondary characters that add to the story. Even the bad guys are entertaining.
-The climax and resolution were excellent!

The DOWN Side:
-None.

My only regret is that there are only 2 books in this series. Alexandra Barnaby and NASCAR guy Sam Hooker are great!
