Mind Games by Merline Lovelace
For Air Force special agent Taylor Chase, invading a billionaire's island fortress was headache enough. But partnering with Dr. Mark Wolfson forced her to revisit the darkest chapter of her past. As his lab assistant, she'd been his lover—and turned into another one of his telekinetic experiments. He'd influenced her thoughts and dominated her very being, and she'd sworn off him forever.
Yet when the sheer horror of the billionaire's plan was revealed, Taylor and Mark realized only their telepathic bond could save them. But could they handle the deep-rooted extrasensory passion that had blown up in their faces years ago? Their very lives depended on the answer…of just who was controlling whom.… OK out of my last few reads I LOVED THIS. So full of suspense, excitment, sensuality and just a all out fun read. no complaints here. if other paranormals are this fun count me in! I been hearing about some kind of Black Dagger Brother Hood books? saws lots of reviews but i am skeptical since after reading that Judar series. Maybe i will get the first one and decide from there. 5 stars!

As a paranormal fan...
I'm embarrassed to admit how far I am behind in reading the Nocturne line. They sit patiently waiting in my stacks but... So I can't really compare this one to anything else since I haven't read it. BUT I will say that the JR Ward series is one of the best paranormal series out there. A friend who doesn't like paranormals even enjoyed the first one enough to buy the second, although not enough to bump it to the top of her list! Having said that, the Ward series is full of complex characters, complex world building, and lots and lots of emotional moments. I don't know if that helps a lot or not but....
