more than a governess

The main character Juilana Wrenn captures your interest right away.  Wanting to do what is best for her brother and sister.  She has a good heart.  She loves children and understands their needs.  Falling in love was the last thing on her mind.  But seeing someone care about children the was she does, there was not hope for her but to fall in love.  Not everyone would risk there life for a child and both Juilana and Major Cunningham do just that.
