A dull job, boring relationships. Life was a yawn when Lucy Christie decided to hit the road with her best friend. But she didn't know just how much her dream vacation - a drive down Route 66 in search of no-questions-asked, guilt-free sexual encounters - would shake things up.

What would it be like to be with a handsome stranger? Especially a sexy cowboy. Lucy Christie finds out when she sees Joshua - the dark, mysterious cowboy - in a diner while on the start of a road trip with her friend, Carmen, who also finds love with an even more mysterious guy.
Used to keeping detailed schedules, and mapping out every aspect of her life, Lucy decides to toss it all away for a little adventure. When she meets up with the cowboy again at the same hotel, it's a no-name, no-strings agreement. Only neither of them seem to be able to keep it. Joshua follows the girls to their next stop, determined to get closer to Lucy - in more ways than one.
At times I found myself wanting to know more about Joshua and his situation with his ranch than the relationship between him and Lucy, but I was glad that he remained unwavering in his attempt to get what he wanted - both in love and life. In the end, they all got more than they bargained for.
In my TBR pile, I have one of the author's vampire stories, so I look forward to reading that as soon as I can.
