The Passion of Sam Broussard by Maggie Price (SRS 02 ’08)

Book 2 in MP’s trilogy.  This book is about Liz, the cop friend.  She cancels her wedding for a second time and breaks up with her fiancée when she meets Sam, a cop from Louisanna, who has some evidence for her regarding a cold case.  The two begin to work together reluctantly – but almost compelled to due a strange chemistry or deja vue.  The book deals with past lives and in a way that distracts to me, there was a lot about the characters I would have appreciated more fully developing – why Liz was abandoned as a child, more about Sam’s history and such.  The story was still good, I enjoyed the cold case story.  Overall, a good book Totals – 93- 65 Harlequin, 20 Non-Harlequin, 8 audio, 3 re-read TBR Challenge – 15 out of 85 TBR2 Challenge – Books Acquired – 49 books, 53 books read, 32 library books (85 total print) NFM

Hi Cady

I have this one too. Hum? I am not a big fan out past lives and going back and forth but I like MP books so hopefully it will work for me.

Margie - I enjoyed it, but

Margie - I enjoyed it, but just thought that I would have gotten more out of the story without it, of course that doesn't make any sense as that was the connection between the two.  Not a real good way of saying it, but I just wanted more about them as people.  I am looking forward to see what you think of it.
