Pearl Jinx by Sandra Hill Warner 2007/ Kindle

Jinx, Inc. sends Caleb Peachey, ex-Navy SEAL back to Pennsylvania to head the work on the cave on Abbie and her grandson Mark's land. Caleb left the Amish community after being shunned and joined the Navy. Claire is the resident historical archeologist or PHDiva to Caleb as sparks fly from the first meeting.

What a zany mix of characters in this one. Tante Lulu is back cause St. Jude sent her. Jonas, Caleb's brother comes calling, seems he was also shunned by the Amish community. Their sister Lizzie runs away from home she wants to be on American Idol. Boney the rat dog (get your mind out of the gutter that's short for Bonaparte), and the resident snake Sparky make several appearances. This book was hilarious and even more zany than Pink Jinx. Loved this book and laughed my way through the antics of this wild mix of characters from Amish to wacky Cajuns. Rating : Very Good and Very Entertaining

Looking forward to the next book as I hear it's even funnier and is Tee-John's story.

This series...

is just a lot of fun!  I have WILD JINX in my stacks to read....

I love her books!

I love her books! I know some people don't care for them because they're so unbelievable but they are pure escapism and entertainment. One of her books can perk up a bad day for me and believe me I've had a few these last weeks of school.

I know...

exactly what you mean!  Her books just make me laugh for the sheer fun of them!  And yes, these last few days at school, I've needed that sort of thing as well.  We're out in three more days though....... How much longer are you in school or are you out now?

Four for

Four for the kids and five for us. The last two days the kids get out at noon so those are easy days with only three classes to get through each day. Then there's the packing up for summer. Yeah!

 Very nice catchy review

Very nice catchy review Deb. I have this one in my tbr and can't wait to read it.

I love SH's Cajun series and the zany way she writes...pure escapism for sure, with lots of laughs.

You'll really enjoy

There's a reunion of sorts at the end of this one with Tee-John's brothers and Charmaine. You'll really enjoy it and I've started Wild Jinx already. I'm behind in my reviews.
