Perfect for the Beach, Anthology, Kensington Contemporary Romance

Cary Rupert, MD has the hots for his friend’s office nurse Nora. He is not about to take no for an answer in Foster’s, Some Like it Hot.

Dana is scared, but Alex Wilde wants her… bad in One Wilde Weekend by Denison.

One powerful storm surge sends a wave to shore stripping off Dr. Sara Davis’ bikini top. Retiring lifeguard Kyle Vanderhoff races down the beach, diving into the water to save the woman fifty feet from shore in McCarthy’s Blue Crush.

John Crusher gets caught up in a game between a would be thief and her larcenous Uncle in My Thief by Davidson.

Jenna married barkeep, Trey in a fit of lust. Once things cooled down she took off. Now she is back requesting a divorce in Perrin’s Hot and Bothered.

Sam is a lawyer, Kat Murphy is his assistant, she loves him and he can’t get over the loss of his deceased wife in Murphy’s Law by Leigh.

This is a group of stories, which are hot, Hot, HOT, or at least the majority are HOT. Foster starts the group of novellas with Some Like it Hot and sets the bar high. Denison’s, One Wilde Weekend is like sherbet between courses to clear the palette. It is still a good story and hot, but it is not quite as fast paced—a good breather, because…McCarthy starts out Blue Crush with an intense beginning (read HOT). My Thief wasn’t a bad story, but didn’t live up to my expectations. Hot and Bothered left me lukewarm and annoyed. It just didn’t keep my attention. Fortunately, the last story, Murphy’s Law is a strong finisher. There is a reason this book is Perfect for the Beach, the water is needed for cooling off while reading. Thumbs up!

I think...

I have this one but haven't read it.  I need to check as it sounds familiar and I tend to buy a lot of MaryJanice Davidson's books.

I liked all of the

I liked all of the stories--some 'spoke to me' more than a couple of them, but that's okay. I sometimes enjoy short novellas as they read so quickly.

Anthologies...

I enjoy anthologies as I discover other authors through them.  Or figure out who to avoid! Wink

Oh, I loved this book.

Oh, I loved this book.  Erin McCarthy is one of my favorite authors.  She's incredibly funny.  All four stories were awesome IMO.
