The Perfect Stranger by Alison Kent
After being introduced in the first book, helicopter pilot J. Jackson Briggs finally gets his own story, and what a story it is. While working for the Smithson Group in San Torisco, he is kidnapped by Jillian Endicott after she drugs him at a bachelor party and pretends to be his pregnant wife. Given the volatile political climate, any escape attempt he makes after the drugs work their way out of his system might end in his death.
Jillian's desperation to recruit Jackson for her needs leads her to the drastic measure of drugging him when she is denied a meeting with him. Though she does worry about the affect the drugs have on him, she is unwilling to give up on persuading him to do what she wants because she knows the consequences may be dire if he doesn't comply.
These two are really great characters, though it took me a while to warm up to Jillian. Once I found out what was driving her actions, it was easy to like her. Jackson is a great character whose actions only enhance that. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.
