Phantom Pleasure by Julie Leto, Signet Eclipse 2008

Paranormal books are not a favorite of mine but this one was a fascinating read.

Alexa Chandler has inherited a castle on a small private island off the coast of Florida.  She has big plans to make it a destination hotel for the rich and famous that are looking for that something extra special, the crown jewel of the Crown Chandler hotels.  However once she finds a way to get onto the island getting into the castle is another hurdle she must jump!  The castle is shrouded in mystery which intrigues Alexa more and more.  Once she gains entry into the castle she is drawn to a portrait of a man that is hanging inside, the only thing that seems to be in the castle.   The portrait seems to be saying "Touch me", touch me".   Damon Forsyth is the man in the portrait, he seems to hold the key to the magic of the castle but only at night.  Damon is a mystery, a fantastic lover, a man from another century.

Alexa knows that there is danger in the castle but from who or what?  There are other key players in this story that is intriguing, fascinating, suspenseful, a book that will be hard to put down.
