Pleasure Unbound, Larissa Ione

She’s a demon-slayer who hungers for sensual pleasure—but fears it will always be denied her. Until Tayla Mancuso lands in a hospital run
by demons in disguise, and the head doctor, Eidolon, makes her body burn with unslakable desire. But to prove her ultimate loyalty to her peers, she must betray the surgeon who saved her life.
Two lovers will dare to risk all.
Eidolon cannot resist this fiery, dangerous woman who fills him with both rage and passion. Not only is she his avowed enemy, but she could very well be the hunter who has been preying upon his people. Torn between his need for the truth and his desire to find his perfect mate before a horrific transformation claims him forever, Eidolon will dare the unthinkable—and let Tayla possess him, body and soul…
I tend to be more of a paranormal mystery and urban fantasy reader, more so than paranormal romance, but I really enjoyed this book, especially as I got into it. The paranormal world Larissa creates is full of detail and well-developed, and as you read it sucks you in. There's a lot going on, and I did get slightly distracted by some of the subplot threads, but this is sometimes the case in any first book that has the job of setting up a lot of upcoming stories and characters. However, this didn't detract from the primary story at all, the main romance is compelling and sensual, with a very sympathetic hero. I really wanted these two to work it out, and found a satisfying HEA. I loved the secondary characters, especially Shade, and I'm very happy his book is next. I found Wraith less interesting and kind of wished someone had done him in by the end of the book, especially as Eidolon keeps suffering for Wraith's crimes. I also look forward to reading about Gem and Kynan (I hope). Look forward to reading more, and highly recommend this story for paranormal romance readers.

Would you recommend I get this straight away
or put it on a 2009 wishlist?
How many other books are we talking about in the series and are any of them out yet?
Because at the speed at which I read, I'm better off waiting for a two or three book head start, if I have to wait six months to a year after a single book, I might not get sufficiently hooked

No more excuses, just READ!
This was the first
and I think she has two more planned? Maybe more -- I haven't checked her site recently. I found this above average for paranormal romance, which seems somewhat risky lately. I don't find much I like, and so I have been turning to parnormal mystery and urban fantasy instead, and this one is very good. I would say it definitely would qualify as a nice stocking stuffer! :)
