I'm a great Stephanie Plum fan and this week I found a "between numbers" SP book at the library.
It's a novella with a Valentine's Day theme. No Ranger or Morelli, the male character is another JE hottie called Diesel (a blond) with mysterious but unspecific powers. SP's challenge (for a $100) is to make it the perfect Valentine Day for five people -- including her sister's boyfriend who is having trouble making it to the altar. With the bond business slow and Morelli out of town, Stephanie is soon on the case with all the usual mayhem. Lots of fun but while Diesel is gorgeous, I missed the sexual tension that Ranger and Morelli bring to the party.

Plum fan too! I even like her older books although they can be dangerous to listen to in the car when you're laughing so much you can't see the road. I had to pull over while listening to one of hers. I keep wanting Stephanie to settle on one guy but with two hunks like Ranger and Morelli how can you choose. Another short but hysterical is another between the numbers Plum Lucky. Lula stills the show in that one.
