The Power of Love is the first novel in this Classic book.

Rebecca Michaels returns home with her 9-year old son and her soon to be 2-year old special needs baby. Almost immediately home in her grandmother's house, a police officer chief arrives at the doorstep with her wayward son, who decided to play hokey from school. It turns out that the police officer is really the police chief, Gabriel Stone and he steps in to help with a firm but understanding hand. They are all feeling rejected and unsure of themselves because her husband and the boys' father left them. He's behind in his alimony payments as well.

Gabriel is tortured by the feelings of anger and guilt because of his wife's death 3 years before. Although Gabriel is very close to both boys and their mother, can we commit to a full-time relationship.
