Lianne O'Mallory has a medical problem that is gettin worse and if she wants a child she is going to have to get pregnant very soon because only surgery can take care of the problem. Lianne was senior analyst fora security firm that specialized in keeping people safe, especially when travelling to dangerous locations. Traynor Elliott is the owner of Protection, Inc. the security firm and Lianne's boss.

Lianne decided that she would try to find a man who would be willing to get her pregnant and be a father to her baby but not necessarily marry her. When Tray finds out about Lianne's problem he orrers to introduce her to friends of his who are available. When meeting a man for this purpose she couldn't find one who would work. Finally Tray suggests that the two of them get temporarily married and try for a baby. Lianne finally agrees but wants the marriage kept a secret from everyone. This would also fulfill Tray's secret desire for a family. Of course nothing is ever simple and this wasn't either. There were a lot of problems in the plan they set up.
The book was okay but I had a problem with concept.
