Prince Of Midtown
This book gives me some seriously mixed feelings. On the one hand, the romance is lovely and the prince is a fun loving guy I rather liked. In that respect, its a great Desire and I enjoyed it. As with most boss/PA stories, he's blind to her unrequited affection. He's almost blind to her beauty, which reportedly is noted by all who see her. But he makes up for lost time. The queen going through the change is a kick as well and I only wish there'd been more of her.
On the other hand, there was a serious sticking point in this story that I just couldn't get past. So, while the couple is happy at the end and no one is hurt, I still feel a tinge over the whole thing I can't be thrilled with. If you have issues with romances that involve third-parties, this probably won't be your thing. Also, this book doesn't spend very much time at all at 721, so while you do see some members of the continuity, don't expect to be staying at the apartment building. I love Jennifer Lewis's writing though, so I won't hesitate to pick up anything else from her and I'll definitely keep waiting for the next in the Park Avenue Scandal books--next month is Reed and Elizabeth, FINALLY!
