Lara Brennan has been the royal nanny in the principality of Tesoro Del Mar for 4.5 years when the reigning prince and princess are killed. The next older brother, Prince Rowan, comes home from 10 years in London to be Prince Regent until his 12 y.o. nephew can become the ruler. The glitch? There's a provision that the ruler (or standing-in-ruler) be married within 6 months of his 35th birthday and Prince Rowan is almost 35. So, he starts meeting/dating women who meet the provisions of the law. But from the first time he laid eyes on Lara 4 years ago, he's been attracted to her and now that he's spending time with her, he's falling in love fast.
