This book is about an agent, Alexa, who is severely injured in the line of duty. A neurosurgeon who falls for his patient. The agent forgets everything after surgery. Her bosses are demanding access to her hospital room to interrogate her. The doctor protects her. Finally she remembers and disappears from the hospital but the doctor finds her and helps her get her health back so that she can finish her case against a Russian mobster who abuses his 14 year-old daughter. Lexi infiltrates his condo again to get the evidence needed to expose him and also to rescue his daugther. Meanwhile, the doctor waits for her return. Excellent reading.
