This is book one in the Brotherhood of the Badge series. Sawyer Kincade met Melissa Teague when he was undercover on an assignment almost a year ago. He helped to put her abusive ex-husband in prison but now Ace has escaped and his obsession with Melissa has put her and he young son in danger. Sawyer becomes her personal body guard and the attaction that has always been between them sparks again. Sawyer is a great hero. Strong and caring. Very yummy. I liked how Melissa became a strong women for herself and her son.

The Kincaid brothers, all four of them, are all in law enforcement. Their father, Deputy Commissioner John Kincade, has been brutally murdered. The murder of their father is the connecting story between these four books. Another excellent book by Julie Miller.
