This was probably the best Love Inspired book I've ever read! It was very well written, although at times I felt the author had way more plot action to convey than her word count allowed for, and things got a tad rushed here and there, although I would way rather have an author cram and rush than stretch and dribble (yack) so that was all cool with me!
The book made me cry. It also made me think about issues regarding forgiveness and reconciliation and things, which was good for my heart, I just know! So in that respect, I'm totally indebted to this author!
One caveat: there was a ton of death in this book. (not really a spoiler) The h had lost her mom, dad, husband, and daughter, the H had lost his mom, two unborn children, and his wife, and then the kid next door lost his mom and grandfather, and his pet bird. I wonder if the author couldn't have possbility let the characters have a few more people in their lives. It was just all so...devastating, like visiting the site of a natural disaster (of course I had to read these during the week of the Myanmar cyclone and the China earthquake). Honestly, it got a little depressing.
But overall, a very good book, especially if you're in the mood to cry!
