This turned out to be a really good book, despite it's rather iffy start. I enjoyed the characters from the get go, but it seemed to take forever to get to the point of the story. Once it got there, I was happy. Am looking forward to the next in the series, Real Vampires Live Large. LOL

Real Vampires...
I totally love this series. I've read the first two and am just about finished with the newest one, Real Vampires Get Lucky.
I think the voice of the story is why it's so great. Sometimes the point of the storie, as you said, takes a little bit to get to, but it's fun anyway.
