Yup.  I really love Tamora Pierce's books.  And of all the Tamora Pierce books I've read, I believe the Immortals quartet is my favorite.  I was trying to read all of the books set in this world, but I can't find my copy of First Test (Protector of the Small, 1) so I've been delayed.

Yes, I think the Immortals quartet were probably my favourites, too--I'm a real sucker for books that feature animal-human communicatin, and Daine was a great character.  

I think you'll enjoy the Protector of the Small books, too.  I'm running a little behind on my Tamora Pierces and still have to read Trickster's Choice and Trickster's Queen...they look so good but somehow I haven't gotten around to them!
