Six years ago Damien Sauer and Tess York were lovers and he tought planning a future together; then Tess chose another man. Now Damien is back and has plans to seek revenge on the now-widowed Tess. He hires (forces) her to remodel a cottage they had bought together when they were lovers. Cost is no object; Tess is update the cottage while keeping the feel of the house. Only things don't go quite the way either of them want; they still want each other. When the cottage is finished just days before Christmas, Damien reveals the extent of his vengance. Will they overcome their differences in time for Christmas Day?
A short book, I still liked it. The characters are fleshed-out completely. The plot flows well. The setting is perfect. I give the book a B+.
