The first book of the SG-5 series has Christian Bane undercover as Peter Deacon, a member of Spectra IT. His mission is to save a kidnapped scientist put to work for Spectra. In his way is Natasha Gaudet, the goddaughter of the man who kidnapped the scientist. Given Peter Deacon's reputation as a womanizer, removing that obstacle means seducing her, something Christian has a hard time doing because of his past.

Natasha is a strong woman who has been working for her godfather but is unaware of his illegal dealings with Spectra IT. Immediately taken by the man she believes to be Peter Deacon after he lets her drive his Ferrari, Natasha must deal with the fallout when she realizes she has been fooled by both him and her godfather.

These two made a great couple. It was fantastic to watch how they helped each other heal in a variety of ways. This was definitely a great start to the SG-5 series.
