I picked this up based on an online review I read--maybe at Dear
Author? It was the first inspirational I'd read. I was delighted with
this book. I liked the writing, I liked the romance, I liked the
historical detail.
I think I'd avoided inspirationals because even though I'm a practicing
Catholic, I was wary of a "religious" book. The characters in this book
counted on their faith but it seemed to fit their personalities and
their stories and didn't feel forced. I liked the book very much--what
a great introduction to a new-to-me line!
