I really like this series. I fell in love with Annja Creed with the first book Destiny. Ever since I've read them all...but the last couple have left me feeling blah.
This one was well written with a ton of great Japanese history in it, but I felt that Annja was playing second fiddle to Ken. The story was more about him and his goals, not about Annja at all. I found her personality bland and uninspiring in this story. I want the old Annja back. The fiesty, sometimes ruthless kick-ass woman back that didn't like to play second fiddle to anyone.
I will stll read the next books in the series, but I hope the author(s) bring the old Annja back to life!
