This is a sweet romance told from the point of view of the cowboy, Jared Clayton. Intent on protecting his adoptive mother from a thief he packs himself up, along with his brother and moves back home for a few days to his mother's ranch.
He's immediately attracted to the new bookkeeper but suspects her of being the thief stealing from his mother. Needless to say she's not. She's a smart, sexy young woman raising her brother's son and with a little bit of help from Edna they finally realize they love each other.
I loved the characters and the story. Since it's the first book in a new series, TEXAS HOMECOMING, I'll be looking for the others.
