My Review:

They meet by chance and have sex.  He thinks she threw herself at him (and she did, but she doesn't make a habit of this, she isn't promiscuous).  Days later they meet again and surprise, they have both agreed to an arranged marriage... and are shocked to find out their fling is their future spouse.  He condemns her for promiscuity (he's a bit of a hypocrite about that one encounter, but really she makes no apologies for having lovers in the past, so the sexual hypocrisy doesn't seem a huge deal).

It's a great Penny Jordan book.  Sensuality, carefully developed plot, no hypocrisy about a woman's sexuality, the hero's faithful once he meets his heroine.  As far as royal books go, I'm normally prejudiced against them but this one was pretty well-done.  The hero was a little rude about thinking that the heroine might have conceived some other man's baby, but he kind of had reasons for being hesitant to trust a woman's word.  I think the heroine was a mature woman and I liked her.  I personally wouldn't have been like the heroine and agreed to marry a man I'd never seen for the sake of my country though!

My Rating: 3.5/5 stars, a good read
