Same Time, Next Summer by Holly Jacobs - Super Everlasting - Aug 08

ELLEN TOO
Format: Print Books

"As children.....During their families' summer vacations, Carolyn Kendal and Stephen Foster were inseparable--running in the hot sand, chasing shadows and building a friendship that would last a lifetime."

"As teenagers.....Their friendship turned serious. Carolyn and Stephen found themselves exploring the intensity of first love." But that love did not connect the two of them as adults. Carolyn married Ross Adams, had a child, Emma, and divorced. Stephen never married.

Then Emma ended up in the hospital where a drunk driver hit Ross's car while she was in the car leaving her in a coma and not expected to come out of it. Carolyn refused to leave her bedside and did all she could for Emma refusing to give up on her although everyone wanted her to let Emma go. Then Stephen showed up at the hospital and agreed to help Carolyn with Emma, sitting by her bedside while Carolyn took breaks to go home, eat and get some sleep.

If you have not yet bought Holly's book you absolutely must run
right out and buy it (or order it from eHar). I rarely cry when
reading but there are scenes in this book which were the exception.
Of course there were scenes of joy there also.

December's MEMBER of the MONTH!

A true teacher is a person who, at the end of the school day, still likes children!

I know you are going on vacation

But just had to tell you how much I agree with your review.

When I get a little money I buy books, and then if any is left I buy food and clothes..-- Erasmus
