Police Lieutenant Rick Downing thinks a mistake in justice is taking place and he needs the help of Public Defender Emma Montgomery to prove it. Problem is Emma was shot while defending a sleezbag.

I really enjoyed this story. Ms. DeStefano really got post traumatic stress down pat. I enjoyed how Rick was trying to get Emma back on her feet and at the same time trying to help his father. This is worth reading.
