Second Chance Cowboy by B.J. Daniels
The sixth book of the Whitehorse Montana series finally focuses on Arlene Evans, a character who has made an appearance in all of the other books in the series. In this book she gets a second chance at happiness with Hank Monroe, a man looking for his own second chance at life.
Their story is woven around the story of Arlene's relationship with her grown children. When her pregnant daughter goes missing, Hank steps in to help with a lifetime's worth of experience in tracking down people and information. That is not the only way Hank helps Arlene, though, since his interest in her gives her confidence that had been sorely lacking lately. Her newfound resolve helps her take action in all areas of her life as she helps Hank figure some things out as well.
This was a great story about second chances, and people being willing to take them when they appear. I loved all the twists and turns, even though some of them in the storyline involving Charlotte were somewhat transparent.
