Second-Chance Family

Jack Galloway's brother and his wife were killed in an accident. And now, Jack's been named guardian to their three children...along with his ex-wife, Roz.

Roz desperately wants to keep the children together in New Zealand after their parents' deaths. For their sake, she has to make their custody arrangement work, even if all Jack wants is to send them away to live with their aunt in England. After the terrible loss of their own child and all that was between them, Jack just can't put himself through more tragedy, more pain.

It's not easy raising a bossy 3-year-old, a pensive 6-year-old, and a surly 15-year-old. But the challenges and troubles this second chance family deal with are what bind them together.

This was an amazing read that made me sympathize with every single character. Bliss draws you into the thought processes of a 6-year-old boy as easily as she draws you into the mind of an empty-nester who just wants what's best for these kids. The domestic life she paints is gritty and real and all at once hilarious for all its twists and turns. Now I know how being a mom might want to make me laugh and cry all at once!

Just like life, this story is full of bittersweet moments which only make the characters' triumphs that much more delectable. Bliss knows just when to twist the knife and when to make the hurt stop. I wished this book wouldn't end.

Coming November 2008 to Harlequin Superromance.

Hi Vicki

I am not a Super Romancer fan but have read a couple of really good ones.  This sounds like one I should look for. Thanks for the information.
