SECRETS OF THE WOLF by Karen Whiddon (SIM #1397)

Format: Print Books

SYNOPSIS:  Brie Danzinger has been constantly moving ever since she was a child.  After the death of her father, she realizes he was protecting her from a murderer... her mother's murderer, at that.  Now, Brie has returned to the home she didn't remember where family is all around, but other secrets are there as well.  Why do the folks in town have wolf symbols everywhere?  What is all this talk of "the change"?  Police Chief Reed Hunter is willing to help but he's undeniably attracted to Brie.  Only there's the little matter of a curse on his family!  Brie may find more secrets than just the identity of her mom's murderer.....

MY THOUGHTS:  Not sure how I missed reading this one but I found it while sorting out some books so thought I'd read it since I always enjoy Karen Whiddon's books about The Pack.  As usual, it was a great story with a nice little mystery. I have to admit, I found it a bit odd that it took Brie so long to figure out what "the change" was, although I didn't blame her for doubting it in the least.

Do you..

have the books that were in the SIM line too?  This series started there and is now in the Nocturne line...

Not sure what my fave Nocturne series is.  Probably a toss up between Pamela Palmer and Vivi Anna's series.  Although I'd forgotten how much I enjoyed the Whiddon books till I read this one and Lori Devoti's series is great too.  But I'm also really behind on my Nocturnes, too.....

Hi Debbie

I read the SIM Pack books and really enjoyed them. Somehow I have not kept up with the Nocturnes. However, I did just order the lastest one. I alI remember reading this one. It was kind of creepy in a couple of places if I remember right.

Margie :)

I'm wondering what

I'm wondering what year/month this one came out?

Sounds like this would be a good series to request all the books be re-issued.

It came out...

December 2005 so yeah, it's been in one of my stacks for awhile! Embarassed  And yes, Margie, it did have some kind of creepy parts with that whole stalker thing!
