The Seduction of the Crimson Rose by Lauren Willig

This was my favorite of the Flower books so far.  Mary’s sister married her beau in the last book.  Now Mary has to deal with either living off of their charity or finding a husband.  Vaughn offers her an opportunity, he will give her money to help him find the Black Tulip.  The two work together and begin to develop feelings, but will Vaughn’s past allow him a future.  I loved Mary.  She was so honest.  Unlike many a historical heroine, she was so pragmatic.  She knew that only marriage or a fortune would provide for her.  Something about Mary just really worked for me.  And Vaughn I have loved him since Hen’s book.  Everything just worked in this book.  Overall, an excellent installment. Totals – 108 - 72 Harlequin, 26 Non-Harlequin, 10audio, 4 re-read TBR Challenge – 18 out of 98 TBR2 Challenge – Books Acquired – 68 books, 59 books read, 39 library books (98 total print) NFM
