The Seduction of Keira (HP 1472)

Back Cover:

She was supposed to be a modern-day Delilah

When Keira Mary Brooks returned to Sydney, her cousin Justin greeted her with open arms. It was not what she'd expected.

Neither were Justin's plans. He wanted Keira to assume the alias Delilah O'Neil and to seduce a man.

For the sake of family, Keira reluctantly agreed. But then she met Nick Sarazan, the man of her dreams. 'Come dance with me,' said Nick. 'I'll show you we're made for each other.'

My Review:

The heroine is a free spirit.  The heroine is asked by her cousin to "seduce" a man away from his wife (they are having marriage problems but he wants her back).  The heroine reluctantly plays along, but then she meets a man and is attracted to him and runs off with him.  Too late she finds out that the hero is actually the guy she was supposed to seduce, and he has in fact been seducing her to keep her out of the way.  (The hero thinks she's her cousin's lover)  The heroine feels used and the hero feels guilty and lets her go free.  Once the heroine realizes he treated her well and set her free, she sees it wasn't just manipulation, there was genuine feeling there.  This is a great book about taking risks.  It was a fresh read.  I liked the heroine.  I liked that the hero so quickly changed his mind about the heroine and wanted to forget why he first ran off with her, and focus on what was between them.

My Rating: 3/5 stars, good book.

Hi Janet!

What are we doing blogging so much on a Saturday night?  Oh well, it seems the only time to catch up and month end is nearing!

I really enjoyed this one - I blogged it earlier in the month.  I liked Keira - she was such a free spirit.  Her cousin was a jerk though.

ElleJay, yeah I read your

ElleJay, yeah I read your review and that bumped this one up the TBR pile.  :)

About the blogging... YEAH... I was hella behind in my blogging.  This week I had 23 books to catch up on!  I've got company comiing over tomorrow, so I wanted to get it out of the way before month end.

(I've got to keep up better, it's insane to write up 20 odd reviews at once, it's so much saner to do 3-5 books at a time)
