I absolutely loved this book. It begins centuries away from the ending of the last book. Devlin is a thousand years old and Chantel has been reincarnated. SHe works for her father and brother in a special agent task force. She is hated by her father although she doesn't know why. The hatred hits home when she is captured by Jonar's men and her father doesn't send agents to rescue her. Just like in the last novel, Chantel dreams about Devlin but doesn't know who or what he is. Devlin also has these dreams which is the only pleasure he gets as he hasn't had sex for the past thousand years, since Chantel died. He feels lost and nothing makes him happy. He cannot figure out why. During these events, Chantel finds the earth crystal necklace and puts it on. She calls out to the dream on and he comes. When he arrives, he is strongly attracted to her. She looks like Antea who he detested. He cannot explain these feelings. Devlin is torn between his head and heart. His heart tells him to love her and cherish her but is head tells him that she is Antea and he hates her with a passion.
Chantel's memories and powers start to come back slowly. Secrets are revealed which sadden and shock Chantel. I loved the way Devlin's love for Chantel was portrayed. His struggle to understand his feelings for Chantel was so poignant and so heart-rending. The end of the story showed a glimpse into the story of the next warrior and his bride. There was so much emotion, plot twists and the reappearance of the previous characters from Shattered legacy, although in their new reincarnations was very enlightening.
The book I am eager to read is Joshua's story. The history behind his and his bride story was very emotional and aggressive at some point. His hatred for his wife and his relunctant attraction and feelings for his wife were very well descibed and I am dying to know when this book will be released.
Does anyone know when this book will be released and what it will be titled? I would really appreciate it.
