Shadows at the Window

I don't know what I thought I expected this book to be, but well, it wasn't. I guess maybe I was expecting more grit or something. I know, I'm so bloodthirsty.  However, it was still a good book. I very much loved who the bad guy was, and why he did it... very creepy.

I thought the heroine was a little naive about some things, but I think she really grew through the story, which was nice. I like how all of her worst fears pretty much came to pass, and yet... it wasn't nearly as bad as what she had feared. Isn't that true for so many of us? There was also a great theme of forgiveness and redemption, which, huh, seems to be the theme in a lot of books I'm reading these days. Laughing

I'm very excited for the next book in the series, as Linda's created some great characters I'd like to see more of.
