The Sharper the Knife, The Harder You Cry: Love, Laughter and Tears in Paris at the World's Most Famous Cooking School
One of my guiltiest pleasures is the reality show, "Hell's Kitchen." Therefore, I couldn't help but love this book, which is kind of a higher class version of Hell's Kitchen, set in Paris France, with several sneering, colorful chefs instead of just one.
Flinn loses her job at age 36 and empties her life savings to do something she's always wanted to do...attend Le Cordon Bleu in Paris, France. Her journey is really great to read, plus, she includes recipes at the end of the book. It's the kind of book that isn't just a good read, but starts you thinking about the possibilities you still have in your own life.
