The Sheikh Surgeon's Proposal by Olivia Gates

From the back: Caught up in the frantic and romantic whirl of life as an emergency doctor in the desert kingdom of Damhoor, Jay Latimer is swept off her feet by her handsome boss, playboy surgeon Sheikh Malek Aal Hamdaan.

Malek is entranced by Jay's luminous strength and beauty, but while he is an eligible bachelor, he is also heir to the throne and, therefore, not free to choose his own bride. Malek knows he can offer Jay a loving and passionate relationship but he also knows that the only proposal she deserves and can accept is to become his wife.

This is my first book by Olivia Gates and I loved it. This was sweet and Malek was yummy. I really liked how he respected her and you could tell how much these two cared about each other.

I loved this one.  One of my favorite medicals.

Hi Merri, This one is a keeper.

Hi Deb, I loved how tender and sweet Malek was with Jay. I think you will really enjoy this one.

Olivia has become a favorite author with this one and The Desert Lord's Baby.

I suppose if I were to do the blurb and review in French ... Laughing

Hi Sadhbh

How cool to have received that copy. I will be interested to know how you find the translation into French.

Margie :)

Hi Margie!

Glad to see you enjoyed this one as well.  I still can't believe I liked a sheikh book but... this one really was incredible, wasn't it?

Hi Debbie

It was great from the moment Jay fell into the limo. Wow, Malek was Yummy!

I am so glad that I read all the good things about this one. I'm not much of a Bombshell girl and I know Olivia writes those so I was kind of staying away from her books. I am so glad I picked this one up because I love her books.

Hey! That's not fair!Tongue out

I hope the translation is better the the translation of Misty's Vanyel series!

well let's face it FF (and I hereby acknowledge that the fault there is with the French publisher, as the translator did an abridged translation - the job she was ASKED and paid to do) it could hardly be worse Undecided

A fav for me too

I really enjoyed this one too, though I did rant about the cover some. OG has now become one of my favorite authors.

I'm thrilled Malek and Farooq have managed to put me on your favorite authors list! Laughing I'm even more thrilled both have garnered such a unanimous response. Malek was my
first sheikh, and writing him, and my other sheikhs, felt like coming home, writing exactly the kind of alpha males I always wanted to write. Powerful, passionate, and deeply human and sane. Also ones who truly value and respect women, especially the one woman they'd never realized they'd been waiting for all their lives.Smile

I really hope you'll like Shehab and Kamal as much.

In other great news, Shehab garnered me another Top Pick from RT, and The Desert Lord's Bride has already hit the #1 spot on the Top Ten Bestseller list in eBooks here on eHarlequin, in its presale week!

Groaaaaaannnn!

This is what I feared. I stopped reading my French translations after I was so depressed to find translators haven't only abridged my books, but when one actually once changed my ending. I'd hoped Malek had fared better.

Oh, well, Medicals still sell pretty well in France, so maybe they know what they're doing.Undecided

That's good to know! Each

That's good to know! Each time there's a different translator and there were ones who were better than others, but since Meds are translated in the Blanche series, my love scenes end up being almost chopped off, so that's probably why I feel they're drastically shortened, since my love scenes are a substantial part of any of my books. And that one where the ending was changed was strange...

Hope Le Prince Chirurgien is much the same as The Sheikh Surgeon's Propsoal!

Hi Kathy, I think you will

Hi Kathy, I think you will enjoy these. Hey, What happened to Nikki's picture?

Bonsai, I like it when the cover people match the characters too. And I agree with you that Olivia is now an auto buy for me.

Olivia, Thanks for checking out my blog. I love this kind of a hero. Yum, when he is so into her. I love knowing his feelings. I'm looking forward to being able to order Shehab's story June 1st. Congratulations on receiving the top pick!

Margie :)
