Silent in the Grave

The sudden, unexpected death of Sir Edward Gray causes his widow, Lady Julia to suspect murder.  She enlists the aide of Nicholas Brisbane and presses forward, following a trail of clues.  In the process, she learns many unpleasant truths about Edward, Nicholas, and her herself.

I am very glad that I read this book.  The tension increased as Julia followed more clues and they all lead to a natural conclusion.  I did suspect the right person as the killer; it was the why, that kept me interested in the story.
