A fan of the first Lady Julia Grey, mystery, I was anxious to find the second and it didn't disappoint. The lush setting and careful build-up remind one of an Agatha-Christie type houseparty murder mystery, complete with ghost-filled old abbey, a plethora of unusual guests and potential purpetrators, lots of twists and turns and an enigmatic hero Nicholas Brisbane who, as in the first book, continues to bedevil our stalwart Lady Julia. A delight!
