Single-Dad Sheriff

Garrett is the sheriff in a small North Carolina town.  His 12 year old son has arrived for the summer and is turning into a moody preteen before his eyes.  Add to the equation the mysterious Samantha, his son's new employer and Garrett has a number of mysteries to settle for himself.  He wants to know why Samantha is living on a llama farm but has designer clothes, why she doesn't drive, and why she's the only one who can get Iraq vet Mack to talk to her.  But when he finds out why, he's not sure if they can weather the revelation.

A good book.  I found the characters well written and interesting.  Recommended.
